Life Before Writing

Along with the assortment of jobs I’ve had in the past, one of the most memorable experiences was becoming a circus performer. I started out performing in a four-person acrobat act (R.I.P. my knees) and then, with some help, I developed a solo balancing act!

I’m a HUGE horror fan and base my entire personality around that. Like any true horror fan, if you ask me what my favorite horror movie is I will answer with: “Well, what category? Are we talking ‘out of a studio’? Because: A24’s “The Witch”. Or do you mean what’s my favorite classic slasher? Halloween (1978). But, if we’re talking classics then “ Bride of Frankenstein” because duh.”

I could go on, but I think you get it.

Here’s a "100% definitely-not-staged” photo of me being all writer-y and stuff.

In 2017 I went on a solo backpacking trip for 3 1/2 months around the world*. I got to meet a bunch of amazing people and see such amazing sights. It’s an experience that I’ll never forget–– because I took a bunch of silly photos like these to remember it.
